# Steps:
01 - Preheat your waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions and lightly grease the plates with coconut oil.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together whole wheat flour, coconut sugar, baking powder, baking soda, sea salt, ground turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, black pepper, and cardamom until evenly blended.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk together almond milk, eggs, melted coconut oil, vanilla extract, and orange zest until fully incorporated.
04 - Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined—do not overmix. The batter should be thick but pourable; add a splash more milk if necessary.
05 - Ladle approximately ½ to ¾ cup of batter into the preheated waffle iron. Cook for 4–5 minutes, or according to your iron's instructions, until golden brown and crisp.
06 - Remove cooked waffles and keep warm while repeating with remaining batter.
07 - Serve immediately, topped with yogurt, fresh fruit, honey or maple syrup, and nuts or seeds as desired.
