# Steps:
01 - Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
02 - Combine milk, cream, sugar, butter, cinnamon, and salt in a large saucepan and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
03 - Add rinsed rice to the saucepan, reduce heat to low, and cook uncovered, stirring frequently, for 35 to 40 minutes until thickened and tender.
04 - Stir in vanilla extract, remove from heat, and let cool slightly to allow further thickening.
